Today is my sister's birthday. Mandy is turning 18, which means I'm officially old. We're ten years apart and the fact that she is now an adult makes me REALLY an adult. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying life and wouldn't go back, but it still makes me realize how much has happened in the last ten years since I was eighteen. It also freaks me out a little because I met my husband when I was 18... and Mandy seems way too young for that! :) I guess that's the normal big sister hypocrisy.
The world has changed since I was 18. When I was 18:
1. Facebook didn't exist
2. 'Friends' was still on the air
3. People still listened to the radio
4. We were listening to "Hot in Herre" and "In Da Club"
5. No one knew who Paris Hilton was
6. Cell phones only had that snake game to keep you from getting board
7. My hair was spiky and blue
8. Everyone shared their music via the school's intranet and no one cared
9. My car was older than I was
10. Lindsay Lohan and Hillary Duff were fighting over Aaron Carter
There, now you can feel old too!
