This is my year...

"2012 is my year" This is what I proclaimed on January 1, 2012. When I repeated this today my sister reminded me that I say that EVERY January 1st. But I've decided that I don't need to change this trend because every year seems to get better. Yes, there are trials and things in my life go wrong, but I choose to believe that everything happens for a purpose and God has a master plan.

I have to be honest, this year I really like his plan ;) I like my job (I work with awesome people), I love my husband, we're buying a house, we'll start the adoption process, and I've already made same great new friends this year.

So, why am I starting this blog? We'll, it's not to brag about how great my life is (though I might have given you that impression). It's to document my story as it unfolds. I've decided to start a blog for two main reasons. 1) I have a horrible memory. I don't know if it was being dropped on my head as a child (true story) or just another little quirk, but I pretty much forget everything eventually. Since I'm at an age where big changes are starting I figure I might want to remember the process. So reason number one to have a blog: to remind my future self of what happened. 2) Things in my life never seem to follow the normal plan. I don't know why, but we seem to do things either way before everyone we know, or way different. For that reason I figure it might be entertaining to document it all. :)

Well, I've got lots more to say, but that's enough for now. :)

  1. I like your thoughts on Easter. I am thankful that I can know Christ, too! I just finished a good book challenging us not to fall in love with our riches, and in America, we have so much, sometimes it is hard to know when we have crossed that line.

But on a happy note, I am so excited for you that your dream of a home is coming true! The furniture is so cute and I can't wait for you to be settled in your "little nest"!
