I L-O-V-E how they look and can't wait to get them completed... but the project is currently on hold. My car accident two weeks ago has left me with a pinched nerve. It should heal eventually, but for now I'm physically not able to do everything I want to do, like lay flooring. However, even if I could I wouldn't be making much process because we are still missing our transition pieces.
Transition pieces are specially shaped pieces that go between rooms underneath the door. They cover the gap that exists between the bedroom laminate and the hallway laminate. Technically we could lay everything and just leave the little gaps for last, but I'm too paranoid we'd leave too big or too little of a gap and mess everything up. I want to see the transition pieces before we put laminate down the hall way so that I know it will fit correctly the first time. After all, we literally got the last boxes of this laminate in Houston... so we have zero room for error. So, instead of continuing to show you a 'how to', I'm going to show you what we're currently stuck with. The good news is it's livable. The bad news is my inability to physically do anything about it is driving me crazy...oh well.
My little studio - 95% done (Thank you Rivas Brothers)
Nursery - 85% done (needs quarter rounds and transition piece)
Guest Bedroom - 70% done (last row isn't done, closet isn't done, quarter rounds and transition pieces)
Dining Room - 90% done, Formal Living Room - 60% done
Future Gym - 0% done (right now it's our tool storage room)
And now for the frustrating part... This is what our halls look like... we put down some cardboard so that we don't have to walk on the slab (concrete dust gets on everything).
So that's our house right now... well, I didn't show you the master because I've got some surprises in there for future posts.
So, we continue living in a construction zone. So if you stop on by 'please pardon our dust!' ;)

My question: Does LJ have a pinched nerve? I command him to finish the floors! (:
