Strike Two

Sorry it’s been so long since I last blogged. A lot has been going on. The main thing is we lost the house we were trying to buy. I could tell you a long story but what it all boils down to is that the sellers decided they want to fix it up themselves and try to sell it for a profit. I can understand wanting to do this, but I wish they would have figured it out before 2 weeks until close. We lost the first house 1 week out… I’m telling you, our next attempt I’m going to be nervous the whole time. I’ve definitely learned that nothing is final until everyone signs on that dotted line.

I was pretty upset about it on Friday when it looked like it would fall through. But luckily I was back to house shopping by Saturday morning, see what else was out there. This whole time we’ve been thinking about getting a lower priced home and fixing it up… but now we’re looking at homes that don’t need any work. And I found one I  l-o-v-e. It’s a four bedroom, which means LJ could have an actual study with a door that closes, it has a den with a really high ceiling and hardwood floors and a HUGE backyard. The kitchen counters aren’t the color I would pick, but I could live with them. Here check it out yourself:
