Rain Rain Go Away

This past weekend I was looking forward to hopefully finishing the dresser for the nursery. I had the time to do it, the supplies needed and the motivation to knock it out. Should be everything I need, right?

Wrong. Another thing needed for outdoor projects is weather that cooperates. And this past weekend, Houston's weather was anything but obliging. We got 7" of rain in 3 hours in my area. They say a picture is worth a thousand words - here is a picture I took on my phone from our front door:

See the curb? Me neither. See the sidewalk? Me neither. See the sprinker? hehe, it cracks me up that it's in this picture. I promise, we weren't running it. 

LJ and I were pretty much stuck in the house, hoping no tree branches fell and ruined our pretty new roof (none did!).

So, that's what we did this weekend, er, didn't do. I hope any of you that are in the Houston area were safe and dry! It was nuts out there!
